Sustainability

What We Keep

We will say this once, plainly, and then mostly stop saying it — because we would rather you see it than hear it. The most sustainable garment is the one you already love and keep. We do not manufacture anything; we are a small curatorial house pointing you toward pieces made by others. That is a limit, and we would rather be honest about it than drape ourselves in language we haven't earned.

We champion permanence

Buy less. Choose well. Keep it a decade. An eye for what lasts is not a side effect of taste — it is taste, and it is the single most sustainable thing a person who loves clothes can practice. The art of fewer, better choices is this belief wearing its work clothes.

We honour every honest maker

We will not pretend the world is clean, or that a woman's only ethical choice is an expensive one. Brands are on a journey; so are the people who buy from them. We respect where each of them is. A workshop doing honest work with modest means has our regard as surely as a house with a sustainability department.

We tilt forward — quietly

Over time, and increasingly, the makers who do the real work of lasting will be the ones we surface first: in what we curate, in what our search rewards, in which brands earn a post. Not by shutting anyone out — by gently, consistently, turning up the ones who are trying. You will feel the tilt long before you are told about it.
