Founded in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 1951 by Achille Maramotti, Max Mara is globally synonymous with impeccable tailoring and the ultimate luxury coat. Designed in 2013, the Teddy Bear Coat was inspired by an archival garment from the ’80s and immediately became an it-coat. Its special alpaca wool texture on a silk base is created using sophisticated technology developed with an Italian supplier to produce a unique faux fur. The abundant volume celebrates the opulent extravagance of the fabric. It features a lapel collar, dropped set-in sleeves, horizontal welt pockets, and a double-breasted closure with horn buttons.
