Here is how the house makes its money — plainly, because a woman with an eye can always feel when she is being handled.

We curate. We do not manufacture. We are, for now, an editor — a house that looks at a great deal and shows you the little that is worth your time. When you buy something we pointed you toward, we may earn a small commission from the maker. We will always tell you that. It costs you nothing, and it is how a small, independent house keeps its lights on and its taste its own.

Here is the part that matters.

Our recommendation is never for sale. No brand can pay to be admired here. A commission can earn a piece a link; it can never earn a piece our regard. We show you a thing for one reason only: because a woman with taste would actually keep it. The day those two things come apart — the day the money asks us to praise something we wouldn't wear — the money loses.

That is not a slogan. It is the whole product. Curation is what you come here for; the moment it can be bought, there is nothing left to come for.
